How-to Boost your Confidence NOW!

It’s time for change

COVID-19 is here and people all around the world are feeling it. We want to do something different, be better and we want to help others boost their confidence. However, many people wonder if they have the confidence it takes to make the changes, they so desperately want..
During these challenging times in Canada and around the world people are dealing with this awful pandemic, Covid-19. A lot of people are living with uncertainty, starting to feel the social, physical and economic impact like never before.

Doing business with confidence

Selling life insurance and other products through telephone or internet (Non face-to-face) is now the way of doing business. The key to selling via non face-to-face methods will keep you in-line with social distancing while simplifying the process.
How have you adapted your business, prospecting and marketing for the current reality? We must push ourselves to get out of our comfort zone. Look for creative ways to keep your business going. Maintain a safe space to work and remember that emotion is still high, intelligence is low!

How to be creative, productive during Covid-19 and bounce back stronger as the situation gets better and post Covid!

The Chinese word for “crisis” is composed of elements that signify “danger” and “opportunity.” We can’t get the opportunity unless there is a crisis. “When there is a crisis, most people focus on the ‘danger‘ component, but those with long-term thinking recognize the opportunity.”
Boost your confidence and understand that this is not the time to panic! As a result, you will have extra time on your hands, therefore, let’s use it productively and creatively to boost confidence.

10 Confidence Boosting Ideas

  1. Capitalize on this opportunity to build trust, stronger relationships, develop your confidence as an individual and a professional. Set an achievable goal, create a plan and a plan of action to keep yourself busy daily.
  2. Boost your confidence by refreshing your value proposition – focusing on who you are, what you do, how you do it, and why should people do business with you.
  3. Create a list of 10 to 20 new people you would like to contact (stretch your mind). Ask them how they are doing during this time, build relationship with them, stay positive, be caring and let them talk freely while you listen. Don’t pitch your products or service!
  4. Create your e-mail database on a free platform such as Cyberimpact or Mailchimp unless you’re using another platform. You can build groups of clients, prospects, suspects etc. Then start creating informative marketing pieces to send to your individual groups once or twice per week. This will boost your prospecting confidence when used efficiently and consistently.
  5. Use your telephone and create a short (60 second) video message wishing people well and communicating your commitment as an Advisor continuing to service your prospects and clients with on-line non-face-to-face products and services.
  6. Build your virtual business like Zoom or GoToMeeting or any other virtual platform you like to meet with your clients, prospects, suspects and also webinars for a group of people. It’s important to develop a PowerPoint presentation for those who prefer visual.
  7. Think about the topic, product or strategy you want to talk about which are relevant to the present time and situation. One idea is to think about products which are easy and that can be applied for and approved without face-to-face interaction.
If asked: Be kind and always put their best interest first and share your best ideas.
  8. Commit yourself to learning and mastering something new every week and become an expert in a new concept or strategy. One idea could be, mastering your point-of-sale presentation, the sale cycles or creating your best value proposition.
  9. Connect or reconnect with your old friends, family members or neighbors. This could simply be a call of concern. Expand your circle so when you are ready to stop social distancing, you will have built many more circles and developed many more opportunities to move forward with life and business confidently.
  10. Work your files and call your existing clients to say hello and do a policy review on a virtual platform or on the telephone, answer any questions they may have, such as “if covid-19 have any effect on their policy”. People are uncertain and emotional!
